Play in Tune "Petie"
One
great horse! Quiet and easy to ride, no vices and great
ground manners. Absolutely adorable, brown, 15.2 hands.
He is extremely well cared for, and has been light worked
for last 2 years. Made for eventing or pony club. 13 year
old gelding. The three years Petie has been at Icssoma Farm
he has had the highest standards of physical health (and
mental health); dental, body work, chiropractic, and the
snuggling and love he deserves, and a break from demanding
show career, while sharpening his aids to the seat and learning
new skills like the cha cha (taking one step forward one
back, three forward, so his obedience to all aspects of
leading is excellent). He has fine tuned his groundwork,
and numerous other areas of skill. Petie loves to work and
show, on the flat and over fences. He has a great show record
and has been asking when he can hop in the trailer and jump
“both kind of fences”. He is looking for a committed
rider trainer team who wants to learn and win. You will
need to have soft hands and a following seat for flat work.
The next step up from "bombproof". $16,000, price negotiable
for a good trainer and a good home.
Petie
wants a home with someone special to love (we're not quite
ready to let go of him but when, the perfect buyer shows
up, we'd like updates). He has a great personality, loves
affection and is tremedously personable.
He
has incredible movement, an effortless 6-8" overstep
at the walk and trot. He covers lots of ground.
He
is a bold jumper and would rather jump like a deer from
a stand still then not jump at all. He's got lots of scope.
He has taken 4 riders successfully from pony club to A and
B. He has won open preliminary at Rancho Murietta with a
1st time (green) competitor.
He
has a gentle nature. He wants you to have quiet hands and
a good seat.
For
$12 and a self addressed envelope you can have a video with
current footage (March 2006) as well as older show footage;
15 minute video showing Play in Tune ridden by two different
amateur riders. First rider is riding Play in Tune for the
first time. Second rider shown in both cross country and
stadium jumping in 2002 Open Preliminary at Rancho Murietta.
